How Do I Log In?
Your account needs to be pre-registered by an operator. Once it is, configure your IRC client:
- › Fill in the server name
-
›
Select port
6697, enable SSL - › Enter your nick/handle exactly as registered
- › If your IRC client supports SASL authentication, fill in your username and password under SASL authentication
- › If it doesn't (e.g., Pidgin and some clients), just make sure your nick is correct, and fill in your password as the server password
How Do I Change My Password?
Once you're logged in:
/msg NickServ PASSWD current new newagain
How Do I Join a Channel?
Note: All channels are invite only, so message an operator for an invite. When you log in, you should see a list of channels you've been invited to and you may need to explicitly join them in your client.
How Do I Leave a Channel?
/part #channelname
How Do I Adjust History Playback?
- › By default, the server should always autoreplay anything you missed
-
›
Anytime you join, you can have the server autoreplay a set number of lines:
/msg NickServ set autoreplay-lines 25Note: This doesn't work the same way as ZNC where it will always do this. It seems client dependent and may need more experimentation.
-
›
You can manually request history in a channel:
/history #channel 1hThis example shows all messages from the last hour.
Other Notes
These settings are enabled by default. You may not be able to change some of them for server security:
-
›
always-on -
›
multiclient -
›
autoreplay-missed
Check how your account is currently configured for any setting:
/msg NickServ get <setting>
